I know many of you want to get free wifi tether on your Sprint Galaxy Note 3 SM-N900P, and it’s easy to do if you have a rooted Sprint Galaxy Note 3.

First, you will need a rooted Sprint Galaxy Note 3, so follow our root guide on How to Root Galaxy Note 3 first and root your Sprint Note 3.

Step 1. Go into Settings->About device and check your Build number.  Mine ends in MI5.

Step 2. Next go to this page and check if there’s an “ODEXED” version of your Build number.  If you are on stock/ODEXED ROM, you need to used ODEXED.  On most custom ROMs, you probably don’t need this but you can use DEODEXED if you are trying on a custom ROM.

Download the appropriate file for your Build number.

Step 3. If you did not download straight to your phone, you can copy it to anywhere on your Note 3’s storage.

Step 4. Turn your Sprint Note 3 power off.  Then hold down Volume Up, Center Home, and Power buttons together for about 3 seconds.

Step 5. Once in CWM or TWRP recovery, choose “install from zip” for CWM and “Install” for TWRP.

Step 6. Browse your internal storage or micro-SD card and find the file you downloaded earlier.

Step 7. Install the zip file and reboot.  That’s it!

Step 8. Now when you turn on your Hotspot, it shouldn’t give you error messages.  You will now be able to wifi tether your 3G or 4G LTE with other wifi devices such as your computer, laptop, TV, another smartphone, etc…etc…
