Stock Android 5.0 Lollipop Firmware for Galaxy Note 3!

Many of you are still waiting for stock Android 5.0 Lollipop firmware on your Galaxy Note 3 but the international versions of Note 3 already have received them including the SM-N900 and SM-N9005.

UPDATE: Lollipop is now available for SM-N900, SM-N9005, and T-Mobile SM-N900T.

For SM-N9005, there’s already a slew of great custom Lollipop ROMs to choose from, I recommend the Alliance ROM.  For SM-N900 users, you may want to hold off another week or two as ROM developers are still getting their stuff together, not too many ROMs can be installed straight from CWM or TWRP Recovery, most requiring you to ODIN the Lollipop firmware.

Of course, you can help yourself and flash stock Lollipop firmware on your SM-N900, the Russian version gives you pretty good Lollipop experience with almost zero bloatware.  The biggest change with Lollipop?  Yes, you get all of the Lollipop performance enhancements (getting near 45,000 on Antutu with no overclocking) along with Note 4’s new multi-window feature where you can resize any app to make it a floating window.

Overall, it looks like a very promising week for the Note 3, especially considering Samsung has added Note 4 features to the Note 3 software.  If you don’t want to wait, definitely take the plunge and try flashing the Russian version if you have a SM-N900!

I have seen a couple of tutorials how to do this and all of them says flashing 5.0 will delete all apps and their data (factory reset). Is the the case here? By the way, I rooted my Note 3 using this tutorial and it was smooth as silk. Thanks man! One more thing, I have a network locked phone (Globe Telecom PH). Can I use other firmwares like the one you recommend?

    Hi Max lee
First of all, I do like you, I do like your sites and I really do like what you’re doing for all of us. May God reward you with something better. So you know Max, we owner of note3 SM N900 are not lucky in term of the availability of roms than 9005 owners. But what I don’t understand is that there are bunch (as you said) of roms in EXDA for our model (n900) and you’re not uploading them. Why? I’m scare to flash them, I’m waiting for your upload. Please upload! Your last post for n900 was since in March… . And I’ve even a problem, I’ve flashed cm12 from exda witch didn’t work and my system/stock backed up is not working too. I got bootloops. I don’t what to do anymore. I’ve tried wiping dalvick cash…. But no success. Please, please, please reply Max lee.

Hi, I am using a SM-N900K (Korean). But I don’t reside in Korea. I want to get rid of the Korean ROM and install a generic one which can be used in most of the countries (if not all). Can anybody pls suggest which ROM to install? Thanks.

I’m from the Philippines and same as you I wanted to remove my Carrier bloated ROM. I used Poland’s unbranded ROM and it works fine. You can also try flashing CyanogenMod 12.1. That’s what I have been using for months now.
