For this week’s ROM of the Week, check out latest version of Alliance ROM, available for AT&T, T-Mobile, Canadian, SM-N9005, and SM-N900 Note 3 variants.
Based on latest Android 4.4.2 TouchWiz firmware, Alliance ROM brings you a nice level of customization along with modded TouchWiz launcher and 19 different themes to choose from.
Whether you are an experience flasher or just getting into custom ROMing, Alliance ROM is a very good place to start. Inside you will find the latest S5 Settings UI, fully-working Download Booster, and Alliance ROM Custom Settings.
With ROM Custom Settings, you will be able to customize colors of your status bar, battery, toggles, text, and more along with custom batteries/battery bar. For Power Menu, you will be able to add Screenshot for easy acess.
Native call recording is also included along with option to auto record all of your incoming/outgoing calls. For lockscreen, you can also get AOSP lockscreen and ink effects.
For system mods, Alliance ROM will allow you to fully customize your system animations, enable 360 degree rotation, and enable NFC with screen off. Also tethering is unlocked by default (as it’s an international ROM) for AT&T and T-Mobile users.
If you have T-Mobile, Canadian, or SM-N9005 Note 3, you can overclock your Note 3 up to 2.65Ghz by installing Compulsion kernel. This may be great for bringing your Note 3 up to speed with latest Galaxy S5 and playing graphic-intensive games.
Overall, Alliance ROM will give you some awesome performance/great battery life along with nice customization options to supercharge TouchWiz to its fullest potential so definitely give this ROM a go this week(end) and do let me know what you think!
Download WiFi Fix for T-Mobile/Canadian Note 3 [required!]
Installation instruction for AT&T users: You can simply use SafeStrap Recovery to install ROM. – This ROM requires you to use Stock ROM Slot, otherwise it will not boot! And also that will allow you to make 100% use of your internal storage.
Installation instructions for SM-N9005 users:
To install, reboot into recovery, make backup ROM, wipe data/factory reset, install ROM, install Compulsion Kernel, and reboot. (If for some reason you end up in a bootloop, reboot into recovery, go to Advanced Wipe for TWRP or Mounts & Storage for CWM, format/wipe /system, then re-install ROM.) See How to Install ROM on Note 3 first if this is your first time.
Installation instructions for T-Mobile/Canadian users:
I’ve removed the format /system in the script so it won’t erase your internal storage for T-Mobile/Canadian users. Please format /system before installing! You can go to Advanced Wipe for TWRP and choose “Wipe /system” or for CWM, goto Mounts & Storage then format /system. After that, wipe data/factory reset, install ROM, install Compulsion Kernel, install WiFi fix, and reboot.
Installation instructions for SM-N900 users:
To install, reboot into recovery, make backup ROM, wipe data/factory reset, install ROM, install, and reboot.
