For those of you looking for AOSP (What is AOSP?) experience on your Verizon Galaxy Note 3 SM-N900V, you are probably disappointed that Verizon decided to put a locked bootloader, meaning you cannot install AOSP ROMs like CyanogenMod, AOKP, BeanStalk, etc…etc…
Personally, this is really bad news for me since I do currently use my Verizon Note 3 as daily driver, and it kills me that I can’t try out AOSP ROMs! (I will definitely switch to AT&T for my daily driver soon.) BUT, there is the Eclipse KitKat ROM by XDA developer Nitroglycerine33!

Based on latest Verizon Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware, HyperDrive ROM is back better than ever, faster than ever with some great customization you are used to. Personally, I have been using the stock Android 4.4.2 KitKat for last week or so and have found it very laggy and sometimes my WiFi being super slow. I have been regretting for upgrading to KitKat and finally my phone is running better after installing HyperDrive ROM.
It’s been quite awhile since the last time we looked at HyperDrive ROM. I didn’t expect much to change since then but wow, HyperDrive ROM has to be the best TouchWiz custom ROM “right now” for the Verizon Galaxy Note 3 SM-N900V.

For those of you traveling abroad outside the U.S. with your Verizon Galaxy Note 3, did you know that your Verizon Galaxy Note 3 is a “world phone”?
The Verizon Galaxy Note 3 comes “unlocked”, meaning you can use any GSM SIM card and use it as a world phone. And yes, this method will allow you to use your Verizon Note 3 on networks like AT&T or T-Mobile. However, you will not be able to get 4G LTE on AT&T or T-Mobile, you may be able to get 4G LTE in other countries though (if 4G LTE is compatible with Verizon’s 4G LTE frequencies). HSPA+ works just fine also, I was able to get nice 6-7Mbps download speeds on AT&T.
