HyperDrive KitKat ROM for Verizon Galaxy Note 3!

For this week’s Verizon Galaxy Note 3 ROM of the Week, check out the latest HyperDrive KitKat ROM by XDA user Sbreen94.

Based on latest Verizon Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware, HyperDrive ROM is back better than ever, faster than ever with some great customization you are used to.  Personally, I have been using the stock Android 4.4.2 KitKat for last week or so and have found it very laggy and sometimes my WiFi being super slow.  I have been regretting for upgrading to KitKat and finally my phone is running better after installing HyperDrive ROM.

With HyperDrive KitKat ROM, you will be able to experience all the goodness of KitKat without Samsung lag and with a ton of customization.  Off the bat, HyperDrive KitKat ROM brings you performance improvements you will notice as soon as it boots up.    Unlike stock KitKat firmware, HyperDrive ROM gives you great performance with your TouchWiz launcher, another reason why you don’t even need a 3rd-party launcher like Nova (my favorite) as it’s definitely at least twice faster than stock.

On top of that, you get a nicely modded launcher that allows you to launch your favorite shortcuts when you swipe up or swipe all the way to the left, which is becoming a popular MOD among custom ROMs these days.  Native wifi-tether hotspot is working out of the box also.

I used the towelroot method of rooting my phone. You can find that on the XDA Developers site. Works great. I’m also on Stock Kit Kat with Verizon.

Installed this room and now cannot hear vibe or Skype audio from the other person. They can hear me just fine though. When I switch over to the stock rooted Deodex rom all works fine. Any thoughts?

On the XDA page it says that this rom is based on Tmobile version. Can you please check to see if it has wifi-calling feature or not?
Will wifi-calling work with Tmobile SIM on tmobile network?

i done everything the video said to do and kept trying to flash this rom in rom slot 1 and it kept failing. someone on xda suggested I just make a nandroid and flash it in the stock slot so I did. and now I am stuck in the bootloop. I am on NC2 also. I used SS version Safestrap-HLTE-3.72-kk-B01 and odin version odin3 v1.85 it shows the Samsung note 3 boot logo with the unlocked lock. in the upper left corner I get a message in blue writing that says “RECOVERY BOOTING” I have reflashed the file n900v_kk_firmware.tar.md5 a few times as well and still no luck. any help would be greatly appreciated.

    • Frank says:

Might want to try using Safestrap 3.75 instead of 3.72

      • Don says:

that’s just it. I cant get in to recovery. it just keeps rebooting. I done the NC4 tar flash and now I can get in to a manual mode. but it doesn’t do me no good. I still cant do a recovery from it.

Try turning on your phone with the volume key down with the home button and power button in. It should ask you to recover. Press volume down to reboot. It should work fine after that, if you have the clean Verizon stock firmware installed.

I haven’t try this rom yet, but 1 thing I recommend everyone
to flash supersu every time after flashing rom before
reboot, this way if some error occurred after flashing rom
you can always boot into SS to fix instead stock restore.

everytime my battery goes dead/reboot i have to pull the battery otherwise my phone will sit there with a black screen and the blue led will be on. running SM-900V 4.42 NC4 kernel 3.4.0. Also os there an update yet? i love the rom been running it a solid 5 months and this is the only problem!
